Jam Jerrup Rock Revetment and Erosion Control Project

Maw Civil Marine delivered 350 metres of rock revetment along the eastern foreshore of Western Port Bay at Jam Jerrup to provide long-term coastal protection and erosion control. The works involved the placement of geotextile fabric, toe and armour rock, and geofabric containers used as offshore breakwaters to stabilise the shoreline and retain sand within the coastal system.

All materials were installed to strict density, grading, and tolerance specifications, with comprehensive testing and inspections carried out in accordance with tender requirements. Maw Civil Marine utilised specialised plant and equipment for container filling and placement, ensuring precision and efficiency throughout construction.

The project was completed with the installation of mangroves to enhance natural coastal resilience, showcasing Maw Civil Marine’s ability to combine engineered and environmental approaches for effective shoreline protection.
