About The Project

Maw Civil Marine constructed a rock revetment and timber decking structure to provide long-term coastal protection and improved pedestrian access. The works included precise placement of large imported rocks, installation of structural steel beams, and detailed construction of timber beams and decking to achieve a durable and cohesive finish.

The rock revetment formed the primary defence, built with armour rocks secured using chem-set bolts for stability and resistance to tidal forces. Above this, steel framing supported a hardwood timber deck, completed with capping and handrails to enhance safety and amenity.

Through close collaboration with the project designer, Maw Civil Marine introduced cost-saving measures and improved construction efficiency, completing the project on time and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
